Coach Torrean Walker comes to the Georgia Xclusive family with 15+ years of basketball experience.

Torrean played college ball at Stillman College (Tuscaloosa, AL) from 2009 to 2014. The Tuscaloosa, Ala. native was named the 2011 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year his junior year. That season, Walker ranked first in the conference and seventh in all of Division II basketball in blocked shots per game, while the Tigers led the SIAC in blocked shots, assists, scoring offense and made 3-pointers per game.

Torrean played in 74 games in three seasons for Stillman, starting (center) 48 times. His best season was in 2012-13 when he started all 28 games and averaged nine points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He made 221 field goals over the course of his collegiate career and finished with 549 points. Walker was a force around the rim as he had 157 blocks in his three years, including 77 his junior year.

Prior to Stillman, Walker played for Hillcrest High School, where he was a member of the 2007-08 state championship team that went 34-3 on the year, 7-0 in region pla,y and was ranked the third-best team in the state.

Upon graduating from Stillman in 2014, Walker went on to coach at his alma mater and spent a year as a graduate assistant with the men’s basketball team at Troy University.

Most recently, Coach Walker has served as head coach and assistant coach at South Plaquemines High School (LA) and Holt High School (AL). During these coaching stints, he also served as a certified teacher, educating youth in micro-economics and health. Coach Walker is currently teaching health & P.E. at Tri-Cities High School (GA).
